Harassment, Intimidation & Bullying (HIB)

Reporting HIB

Riverbend follows the New Jersey Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act. Any student, parent, or staff member may report an act of harassment, intimidation, or bullying to a school Anti-Bullying Specialist or to the District Anti-Bullying Coordinator, Rachel Okonkwo (hib@riverbendschools.org). Reports may be made in person, by phone, in writing, or anonymously; every report is investigated.

Website Privacy

What this website collects

This is a static website. It sets no advertising cookies and runs no third-party trackers. We do not collect personal information from visitors browsing the site, and no student records are stored on or served by this website.

When you choose to submit a contact form, the information you enter is sent directly to the relevant district office by our form provider, protected by a spam challenge, and used only to respond to you.

Student records (FERPA): education records are governed by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act and are never published on this site. Directory information is released only in accordance with district policy; families may opt out through the main office.

Public Records

Open Public Records Act (OPRA)

Members of the public may request government records under the New Jersey Open Public Records Act. Submit requests to the Records Custodian, Steven Park, Business Administrator / Board Secretary (records@riverbendschools.org, (973) 555-0148). The district responds within the statutory seven business days.

  • Integrated Pest Management (IPM)

    The district maintains an IPM policy and provides annual written notice of pesticide applications to staff and parents on request.

  • Worker & Community Right to Know

    Right-to-Know Survey and hazardous-substance fact sheets are on file with the Business Office and available for inspection.

  • User-Friendly Budget

    The district posts its annual user-friendly budget and audit summary as required under N.J.S.A. 18A:22-8a.

  • NJ School Performance Reports

    State report cards for each school are published annually by the NJ Department of Education.
