Student Life

Athletics & Arts

Riverbend students compete, perform, and build — on the field, in the black box, and in the studio. Here's what's in season and how to get involved.

Arts & Ensembles

The arts are a core subject here

Every Riverbend student has a stage, a score, or a canvas waiting — not just an elective checkbox.

Band

Concert and marching band open to grades 6–12, performing at home football games, winter concerts, and the spring state festival.

Chorus

Two choirs — Concert Choir and the auditioned Chamber Singers — rehearsing weekly and performing three times a year.

Theater (Black-Box)

A flexible black-box space at Riverbend High stages a fall play and a spring musical, built and run largely by students.

Studio Art Sequence

A four-year studio sequence from foundations through AP Studio Art, with student work shown in the spring art walk.

Get Involved

Boosters, tryouts, and how to join

Booster clubs

Athletic and arts boosters fund equipment, uniforms, and travel beyond the district budget. New members and volunteers are always welcome.

Tryouts & auditions

Fall tryouts run the week before Labor Day; winter and spring tryouts are posted on each school’s calendar about two weeks out. Ensemble auditions are scheduled each September.

How to join

Students sign up through their school’s main office or activities coordinator. No student is turned away for lack of experience.
